Every number here was taken by opening the PDF and counting what is in it, by a script that reads the file rather than the intention behind it.

A printable pack for people who print regularly, and especially for people who print for other people. It puts the numbers this site publishes into a form you can keep beside the machine, and the pricing arithmetic into a form you can fill in.

What is in it

Thirty-one pages, and here is what is on them. Every count below was taken by opening the file and counting, not by describing an intention.

Reference tables. Density, nozzle and bed temperatures, shrinkage, heat deflection and drying schedules for every material on the site, in one printable table rather than thirty-five pages. Plus the nozzle-size table with layer height and flow limits, the regional electricity rate table with its vintage printed on it, empty-reel weights by construction, and the polyamide moisture figures. Ten tables in all.

A profile card for every material. One card each: the process window, the physical figures, what a kilogram gives you in metres, and — the reason the cards exist — what that material is genuinely bad at. A reference that only lists strengths is a catalogue.

Troubleshooting flowcharts. Six of them, one per failure category, each built as a ranked check order with the fix printed beside every step, so you work down the list rather than around it. Behind them is an index of every failure the site covers, so you can find the right chart before you start changing settings.

A tolerance test-model list. Ten coupons, in the order that makes each subsequent one meaningful, with what to measure on each and what the reading actually tells you. Followed by a computed table of what to model at, for ten materials, at three sizes.

Cost worksheets. A per-print cost sheet with the four terms laid out — filament, electricity, failure allowance and machine time — so a job can be costed without opening a browser, and a monthly running-cost sheet for anyone with more than one machine.

A pricing worksheet. The step from cost to price, which is where most people printing for customers lose money: labour for setup and post-processing, a failure allowance derived from your own measured rate rather than a guess, and a margin you decide deliberately. It prints the margin-to-markup conversion as a table, because the two get confused and they differ by a lot.

A calibration record. Space to note your machine's measured wattage and the ratio between your weighed prints and your slicer's estimates, per material. That second number is the most useful thing on this site, and it is worth writing down.

Who it is for

Anyone who sells prints, runs more than one machine, or works somewhere without a screen next to the printer. If you print occasionally for yourself, the free pages cover everything the pack does and you do not need it.

Practical notes

It is a PDF. The page is A4's width and US Letter's height, which is the only size that prints on both without scaling or clipping — there is no single sheet that is genuinely both. The worksheets are designed to be printed and written on rather than filled in on a screen, and the blanks are ruled for a pen.

Buying it supports the site's running costs and the work of keeping the reference data current. It does not unlock anything: every figure in the pack is published free on this site, and always will be.

Why a printed pack at all

Because the place you need these numbers is usually the place you do not have a browser: standing at the machine deciding whether a job is worth quoting, or working out why the last spool ran out earlier than expected.

A printed table also stays put. A worksheet you have filled in with your own machine's measured wattage and your own weighed-versus-estimated ratio becomes more accurate than any general reference, and it does not get lost in a browser tab.

What it is not

It is not a course, and it is not a settings profile you can import. The pack assumes you already print and already have a slicer set up; what it adds is the arithmetic around the print rather than the print itself.

It is also not a substitute for measuring your own machine. The blank calibration record exists precisely because the most valuable numbers in the pack are the ones you write in yourself.

Everything in it is derived from the same material and printer records the rest of this site reads from, so a correction published on a material page appears in the next revision of the pack rather than diverging from it quietly over time. The pack is generated by a script that reads those records and calls the same calculation functions the site's own calculators call — the worked cost example inside it is computed, not typed, and so is the compensation table.
