What the site provides
Reference information about 3D printing materials, printers and failure modes, and calculators that produce estimates from inputs you supply. It is published for general information and is not professional engineering advice.
Estimates are estimates
Every figure this site produces is an estimate derived from the inputs given to it and from published typical values. Material properties vary between manufacturers and between batches. Printer power consumption varies with settings, ambient temperature and the condition of the machine. Electricity prices vary by region, by tariff and over time.
You should not treat any figure here as a guaranteed result. If you are pricing work for a customer, or making a part whose failure would matter, verify against your own measurements: weigh a finished print, meter your own machine, and test a part before you rely on it.
Safety
Some materials described here produce fumes when printed, require high temperatures, or involve equipment that can burn. Follow the manufacturer's safety guidance for the material and the machine you are using. Nothing on this site overrides that guidance, and where the two disagree, the manufacturer's guidance wins.
Printed parts are anisotropic and their strength depends on orientation, settings and material condition. Do not use a printed part in a load-bearing, life-safety or medical application on the basis of a figure published here.

Printer and material manufacturers are named for identification only. This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any manufacturer mentioned. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Content and reuse
The text and original data compilations on this site are the property of the site owner. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Republishing pages in bulk, or reproducing the data tables as a dataset, is not permitted without permission.
Paid downloads and donations
Downloadable products are delivered as files after payment. Because they are digital and delivered immediately, they are not refundable once downloaded, except where the law of your country requires otherwise. Donations are voluntary contributions toward running the site and are not purchases.
