This site is independent. It is not owned by a filament brand, a printer manufacturer or a retailer, and nothing on it is written to sell you a particular spool.
That independence is the reason the material pages end with what a material is genuinely bad at, and the reason the printer pages say plainly when a wattage figure is an estimate rather than a measurement. Those are not things a manufacturer-funded site tends to publish.
What support pays for
Hosting, the domain, and the time it takes to keep the data current. Material data sheets change, printers are released and discontinued, and electricity rates move — all of which means the reference layer needs revisiting rather than writing once.
It also pays for the boring work that makes the site trustworthy: checking a figure against its source before publishing it, re-measuring the examples when a calculator changes, and correcting things when someone writes in to say a number is wrong.
What it does not change
Supporting the site does not unlock pages, remove functionality limits or change any figure. Every calculator and every reference page is free and stays free.
It also does not buy influence over what is written. If a material is bad at something, that stays on the page.
Other ways to help that cost nothing
Send a correction. A metered wattage figure for a machine currently carrying an estimate is genuinely valuable, and so is a data-sheet density that disagrees with the one published here.
Tell someone the specific page that helped. A site like this grows by being useful in a way people remember well enough to pass on, and that is worth more than most things money can buy.
Where the money actually goes
In rough order of size: hosting and the domain, the tooling used to check that every published figure still matches its source, and the time spent on corrections and on adding printers as new machines become common.
None of it goes on advertising this site, buying links, or paying for reviews. That is a deliberate choice and it is part of why the reference pages read the way they do.
